RATES* and RULES

When you enter the driveway at Country Hills Resort, look for the light green buildings at the front. The building with the flags, wooden eagle carving and credit card signs outside the door is our FRONT OFFICE. This is where you will check in and can get information, brochures, maps (and good advice) about the area.
We accept all major Credit Cards, personal checks (with ID) and cash.
Our rates vary according to season. Long-term cabin or up-front hookup rentals are available from October to mid-May. Unless weather is unusually severe, we keep the campground open through Thanksgiving. Please call or email in advance for campground status. And we often are fully booked far in advance during Spring and Summer months (particularly during holiday weekends), so strongly recommend that you call ahead to avoid potential disappointment. The early birds get the best spots!
We will offer short-term accommodation during fall and winter in our motel units at our discretion. Please call ahead, as we sometimes close the motel during the winter to conserve energy costs, repaint or redecorate the units.

OUR RATES
From mid-May through end of September, we rent tent and RV sites, motel rooms and cabins by the night or week ONLY. "Off Peak" season, we will consider longer-term month to month rentals. According to weather conditions, our Campground is closed for the Winter months, but occasionally we close in November and reopen in February, so it pays to call 541/592-3406 or 800/99RVING or email us to inquire.
Camp sites: $16 for up to four people.
$2.50 for each additional person. The campground is equipped with bathrooms and
showers. There is an outdoor eatery, a mini-store and laundry facilities on the
premises.
Campground RV park sites: $20 - $23 per
night. Charge for more than four people is $2.50 per person. This includes electricity (20 and 30-amp spots available on the
campground), water and use of the dumping station on your way out. We offer an
"off season" and longer terms rates. Please call 541-592-3406 or
1-888-592-3406 or
email
proprietor@countryhillsresort.com for more information.

"Up
front" RV sites: prices vary from $25 - $28 per night and charge for
more than four people is $3.50 per person. These are FULL
HOOK-UPS with septic and electricity (30 and 50-amp supplied on a first
come/first served basis. Reservations strongly suggested!). These sites are also
available for longer-term rental from mid-September through May. Again, these
are not on the campground, but are close the laundry room, soda and snacks and you are certainly welcome to walk the trails and
spend time on the campground, or in and along the Creek! (although we advise
extreme caution during late Fall and Winter months, as storms and melting
snowpack from higher elevations can cause a very rapid rise in the level of the
creek).
Motel rooms: Rates from Memorial Day through Labor day are $58 per night. Please email or call to inquire about our weekly "high season" rates. Fall and Winter rates are $54 per night and weekly rates are also available. Each motel room is large, uniquely decorated, clean and cozy, has a full bathroom (yes! This includes a bathtub!), has A/C, fan and individually-controlled heating. Coffee and continental breakfast are included in the cost of your room. And free DirectTV service is provided via satellite. From mid-September through March, please call in advance to ensure the motel room is open and let us know if you want to stay for one night, multiple days or for a week. We'll do our best to accommodate you!
Cabins: We have large cabins which sleep up to six people and small cabins suitable for either singles or one couple. All are equipped with full kitchens, cookware, plates, bowls, cooking implements...all you need to provide is the food! Please call or email for rates to rent one of our cabins from Memorial Day through Labor Day. During the "high season" (mid-May through the end of September), cabins are available on a daily or weekly basis only. We rent cabins on a weekly or month-to-month basis (again, at our discretion) during the "off-peak" months between late September and through mid-May . Please call us or email to: proprietor@countryhillsresort.com to inquire about our low off-season and high-season rates. Advance reservations are strongly recommended for cabin rentals regardless of season. Our cabins are often occupied year-round and are an excellent value!
OUR RULES (we've got a few and they're not unreasonable):
CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations taken by 'phone or via email require a valid Credit Card. For off-season rentals, we observe a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. During our "high season", which runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day a 48-hour cancellation policy is strictly enforced. Failure to contact us will result in a charge your credit card being charged accordingly.
NOISE: We have "quiet time" between the hours of 8 AM and 8 PM during weekdays and extend the nighttime hours to a more liberal 10 PM on the weekend and may push it to 11 PM on weekends during late Spring through end of Summer. In the event of a "special celebration", we will make exceptions to accommodate you or your group...but please give advance warning. There are people who stay here who do so because they live outside of the Illinois Valley but work nearby during the week, so they need their sleep! Just a bit of consideration for others is all we ask.
PETS: Pets on the campground and up front should be leashed at all times. Cats should not be "let out" to roam freely in unfamiliar territory. We know this is the country and your dog may be a loveable, friendly fellow, but other people (children, especially) may find them intimidating. And we do have wildlife and our own cats on the premises. We do not want them to be frightened, chased or come to any harm. There is a $5 per night fee charged for pets. We adjust the fee accordingly for longer-term stays and "off season" rentals.
CHILDREN: We expect your children to be well-behaved and in your sight. We REALLY expect that you will be especially careful to watch for younger children, who can easily get lost in the woods, venture into Sucker Creek (we do not have a Lifeguard on duty. Ever.) or wander off into the hills. It is important to understand that, although we maintain a civilized atmosphere, this is an area that borders on wilderness and there are wild predators, white water and can be precarious footing in the creek. The local rescue team does their utmost to locate lost and injured people, but you may find it getting costly if your child goes missing because you were not paying attention to their whereabouts. We know you love your children. We share your concern, but we cannot and will not watch them for you.
SMOKING: All rooms and cabins are non-smoking. Outdoor seating and large coffee cans are provided for your smoking pleasure. Please exercise extreme care in disposing of smoking material, whether it be cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco...whatever. NEVER toss a lit cigarette butt on the ground or out a car window. Use those coffee cans & common sense!
CAMPFIRES & BARBEQUES: Do not leave your
campfire unattended! Campfires and barbeques are permitted in designated areas
ONLY. Our "high season" typically features warm, sunny days and cool
nights...but the surrounding area, although it may appear lush and green,
actually becomes very dry. Covering your smoldering
campfire with damp soil or sand will in many cases not put it out. In fact, it
will create what this writer calls "The Caldera Effect". The embers
will continue burning deeper into the ground, while the soil and sand forms a
crust over the top, sealing the heat in. Even heavy rains, snow or hail will
often simply evaporate and create a surface like ceramic. While this
tactic can be used as a clever method of slow-cooking food to perfection, the
problem arises when these unchecked mini-volcanoes are not fully extinguished.
Such smoldering underground ovens
will eventually connect with something like a tree root or a roots in a patch of
grass. The result can be a wildfire. If you don't have the time or feel
confident about having gotten the fire fully extinguished, please drop by the
front office and let us know.
**Please note that as of this writing (January,
2008) there is a 1% Tourism Tax
required by the state of Oregon that is applicable to all but monthly rentals.
